CUAP TO CONDUCT SEMINAR ON “CURRENT TRENDS IN PSYCHOLOGY”

The Department of Applied Psychology of the Central University of Andhra Pradesh will be hosting a National Seminar on 25 th and 26 th November 2022 on the theme “Current Trends in Psychology (Practice, Research, Teaching and Learning)”. Prof. H S Ashok, former chairman, Dept of Psychology, Bangalore University, will be delivering the keynote address. In his 35 years of rich teaching and research experience, he has involved in development and delivery of training modules for private and government organizations and educational institutions. His key note address will be on “Psychology for the 21 st Century”.


Dr.Shubha Madhusudhan, a practicing clinical psychologist with over twenty years of experience is one of the resource persons for the Seminar and she, in her lecture, will be giving insight into the clinical therapeutic counselling for adolescents and also regarding the family dynamics.


Dr Rohini Shivananda, from Bangalore University will speak in the inaugural address and begin the technical sessions as the Chairperson, while Dr Bharani Kanth, an Associate Professor from Pondicherry University, a post-doctoral fellow from Kent State University (USA) will be lecturing on “Building skills for Interpersonal Relationships: Association with Mental Health and Wellbeing”.


The presentations by the participants are spread out into four technical sessions. The seminar will begin with an inaugural ceremony on 25 November at 10:00am, at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Seminar Hall of The Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Transit Campus- II. The Seminar is to be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. S A Kori.
