EMBLEM AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE
 
 

  • Sun Symbol: The symbol of the Sun is an alchemy symbol. It is a symbol of origin that represents the accomplishment of the great work . The Sun represents life, influence and strength.

  • Statement: Knowledge leads to fulfilment and happiness.

  • Open book: Spreading of unlimited access to quality education.

  • The Pagodas: Sri Krishnadevaraya (A.D. 1509 - 1529) of Tuluva Dynasty was one of the greatest rulers of Vijayanagara. He issued many gold coins and one of his extremely rare Double Pagoda Coins depicts the standing posture of the Lord Venkateswara with a discus and conch on either of his hands. The right front hand is in the Varada mudra and the left on his hip. The reverse has a three line Nagari legend “Sri Krashnara ya”. One of the contributions of the Vijayanagara empire was the remarkable improvement in the currency system in South India. It has its historical and mythological significance.

  • The Purna Kalasha: The Purna Kalasha is Considered a symbol of abundance and “source of life” in the Vedas. Purna Kalasha is preeminently a Vedic motif, known from the time of Rig Veda.

  • Bilingual Title: It being a Central University, the bilingual title gives it national significance.

  • Anantapuramu is the southern most district of the Rayalseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

  • Dharmavaram region is world famous for the handmade silk sarees. It’s a major hub for silk weaving industries and leather puppets.

  • Tadipatri region is an industrialised town famous for Granite and Cement production. Ultra Tech Cements a unit of Industrial major Larsen & Toubro has a major Cement production unit near the town.

  • Groundnut and Paddy are major agricultural crops in the district. When it comes to horticulture Banana and Papaya are heavily cultivated.
