Academic, Administrative & Extramural Assignments Held
Prof. Reddy has extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration, professional training and institutional leadership.
She began her academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, where she served from 2006 to 2011. During this period, she taught courses including Public Administration, Research Methodology and International Relations.
In 2011, she joined the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, as Associate Professor, Socio-Political Development (Applied Social Sciences). In 2016, she was appointed Chair Professor, Dr. Ambedkar Chair in Social Justice, IIPA, a position she held until January 2021.
In January 2021, Prof. Reddy assumed charge as Principal, Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. She served in this leadership position for approximately two years and eight months, until August 2023. During her tenure, she contributed significantly to academic administration, institutional development and student welfare. In recognition of her outstanding service as Principal, she received the Best Employee Medal from the College Trust, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), on the occasion of Republic Day 2023.
Prof. Reddy joined the Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Ananthapuramu, in September 2023. Since then, she has held several important academic and administrative responsibilities, including Head of the Department of Political Science, Registrar (I/c), Dean Academics and Director (I/c), MMTTC. She currently serves as Vice-Chancellor (I/c) of the University.
Training and Professional Development
During her tenure at IIPA, Prof. Reddy was actively involved in the design, coordination and delivery of national and international training programmes for senior government officials and academic professionals.
She successfully coordinated the Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA) on three occasions. APPPA is a ten-month flagship programme of IIPA designed for senior officers belonging to the All India Services, Central Services and Defence Services.
She has also successfully completed professional training programmes in Direct Trainer Skills (DTS) and Design of Training (DoT) designed by Thames Valley University, United Kingdom.

International Academic Collaboration
Prof. Reddy played a significant role in facilitating international academic collaboration between IIPA, the Potsdam Centre for Policy Management, University of Potsdam, Germany, and GIZ, Afghanistan.
She contributed to the organisation of three Winter Schools during 2013–2015 for Deans, Professors and experts in Public Administration from Afghanistan. The programmes focused on:

- Curriculum Development and Core Courses in BPA Programmes
- Academic Skills and Employability
- Management, Teaching and Faculty Development
- Institutional Strategy and Academic Leadership
The initiative represented an important international academic collaboration of IIPA.
At the invitation of the Ministry of Higher Education, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Prof. Reddy participated in the Summer Academy 2015 on Teaching and Managing BPA Programmes at Kabul University. She served as a lead initiator of discussions in two working groups and was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Ministry of Higher Education for her academic contribution to the field of Public Administration.
Research and Publications
Prof. Reddy has an extensive record of research, scholarly publications, and academic contributions, with sustained engagement in Public Administration, Governance, Public Policy, Social Justice, and related areas. Her scholarly output includes 20 papers in international journals, 26 papers in national journals, 15 book chapters, and 7 authored books. Her notable publications include Food Security and Food Production: Institutional Challenges in Governance Domain and Good Governance: The Changing Contours. Her work is recognized for its academic rigour, policy relevance, and contemporary research significance. She has also undertaken evaluation and impact assessment studies of government schemes and development programmes, contributing to evidence-based understanding of public policy and governance outcomes). She was part of the prestigious publication titled, ‘Viksit Bharat@ 2047, Governance Transformed’, an IIAS Public Governance Series (Volume 6), a joint collaboration of Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, GoI and International Institute of Administrative Sciences, Brussels.
Research Projects and Guidance
Prof. Reddy has successfully completed 10 research projects, comprising 5 Major and 5 Minor Research Projects, funded by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, and Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
She has guided Ph.D. and M.Phil. scholars and mentored RTI Fellows under the centrally sponsored RTI Fellowship Scheme of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, with a focus on strengthening transparency, accountability, and effective implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
