The Indian Journal of Politics and Governance is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Political Science, Central University of Andhra Pradesh. It provides a platform for high-quality research in political science, governance, and related interdisciplinary studies. The Founding Editor and Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Babu G., Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Associate Dean of Research and Development at the Central University of Andhra Pradesh, established the vision and scope of the journal and oversees its editorial decisions and peer-review process.
Conceived as an intellectually vibrant academic forum, the journal is committed to fostering critical inquiry and advancing scholarly discourse in the broad fields of political science, public administration, public policy, governance, and international relations. Submission Guidelines
The Indian Journal of Politics and Governance (IJPG) is a biannual journal published twice a year (January–June and July–December).
- Full-Length Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Policy Analyses
- Research Notes / Field Reports
- Book Reviews
All submissions must demonstrate originality, conceptual clarity, methodological rigor, and analytical depth.
- Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Research Articles: 4000–6000 words
- Review Articles: 1500–2500 words
- Book Reviews: 1000–1500 words
- Abstract: 200–250 words
- Keywords: 5–6
- Citation Style: APA (7th Edition)

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process and will be subject to plagiarism and AI detection checks.
Review Workflow
- Initial screening will be carried out by the Editorial Office (scope, format, plagiarism), i.e., Department of Political Science, Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP).
- The manuscript will then be sent to two anonymous external reviewers after the initial screening process is completed.
Review Duration
- The peer review process normally takes 4–6 weeks.
