Dr. Simantini Ganguly has academic and professional experience in teaching, counseling, and psychological research with adolescents and young adults.
She served as a School Counselor cum Psychology Teacher in a Residential School in Bihar (2021–2022) and in a Day Boarding School in Punjab (2023–2024), where she taught Psychology, provided mental health counseling, conducted socio-emotional learning sessions, and implemented group interventions for students.
She has also worked as a Guest Lecturer and Curriculum Support Faculty in various colleges across India (2023–2025), delivering lectures on Developmental Psychology, Social-Emotional Learning, Emotional Intelligence, and Research Methodology, and contributing to curriculum design focused on inclusivity and emotional well-being.
Research Experience
- She worked as a Doctoral Researcher at Central China Normal University, Wuhan, China (2020–2025). Her doctoral research involved a large-scale mixed-methods study with a sample size exceeding 1000 students across Bihar, Punjab, and West Bengal.
- She collected primary data from residential and day boarding schools, conducted 15 key informant interviews, and applied advanced statistical techniques including Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (EFA & CFA), regression analysis, mediation analysis, MANOVA, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SPSS and AMOS.
- Her research generated evidence-based policy recommendations for strengthening socio-emotional support systems in Indian schools.
