ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

The Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP), established in 2018 in Ananthapuramu, is a significant initiative of the Government of India to expand quality higher education opportunities in the state after its bifurcation. Guided by the vision of the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to build an India where students aspire to study within the country and global learners seek to study here, CUAP has steadily evolved into a vibrant academic institution.

With nine undergraduate, seventeen postgraduate, and six Ph.D. programmes aligned with NEP 2020, UGC guidelines, and the National Credit Framework (NCrF), the University focuses on innovation-driven and socially relevant education. The student community has expanded from fewer than 100 students from seven states to over 1000 students from twenty-three states, reflecting its national character and academic appeal.

To further strengthen academic quality and faculty development, CUAP hosts a Malaviya Mission Teachers Training Centre (MMTTC) under the national Malaviya Mission framework. This centre positions the University as an important hub for teacher capacity building in alignment with NEP 2020, promoting academic excellence, Indian Knowledge Systems, and value-based higher education.

MISSION OF CUAP’s MMTTC

To empower faculty with value-based, future-ready competencies that foster excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and nation-building in alignment with NEP 2020 and Bharatiya Gyan Parampara.
