Prof. S. A. KORI, joined as founder Vice Chancellor of Central University Andhra Pradesh (CUAP), Ananthpur from 21 August 2020, he is an academician, researcher and able administrator. Prior to this assignment he was a Executive Director of Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Govt. of Karnataka, Bangalore from 30 December 2014 to 20 August 2020. . Previously he was with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum during 2008-2013 as the Registrar (Evaluation) and Registrar and shown his administrative capabilities of a very high order. Recognizing his administrative credentials he was conferred by Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi a National level award as “Best ADMINISTRATOR” for the year 2016; to appreciate the outstanding leadership quality of an Administrator in institutional development and enhancing the standards of Technical Education. As an academician he has 195 National/International publications, many R&D sponsored executed from Min. of Defense (DRDO), Navy Research Board (DNRD), Min. of Sc and Technology (DST), Min. of HRD (CSIR), Min. of Atomic Energy, Board Of Research In Fusion Science & Technology (BRFST) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) funded by Govt. of India. He was the recipient of Govt. of India’s University Grants Commission and DST fellowship of Indo-Hungarian Faculty exchange Programme for the year 2005-09 in Budapest University of Technology and Economics at Hungary in Europe. 14 students awarded Engineering Ph. D. degree under his guidance and another six student’s work are in progress. He was the Member of many committees constituted by Central/State Govt. apex bodies, member of many professional bodies and travelled worldwide for presentation of his research work, to deliver invited talks, world education forums and for chairing the sessions.
